A person didn’t lose a battle, a person died

You know who lost a battle? Napoleon and Alexander the great. Those guys lost battles and wars. When a person is sick and dies, that all there is. Person died.

But great George Carlin warned us about sugar coating that we do with the language. People don’t die anymore, they pass on. And i get it. It maybe eases everything, but the pain for lost loved ones will remain for a long time.

And the term lost, always bothered me. We all lost someone dear to cancer. But remember the words of great Norm Macdonald: When you die from a cancer, cancer dies with you. So that’s not a loss, that’s a draw 😀
