It is a new year and new goals have been set. If you are a person with anxiety disorder or depression, you are preparing for another year of much fighting with yourself. Because as it turns out, anxiety and depression are experts at self sabotage. If you are sad about something, depression keeps your mind trapped in that feeling of sadness. Anxiety is there with its millions of questions about future, past and whatever you can think of.
But remember, they are temporary problems. You have some minutes or maybe even hours of peace through the day. Anxiety really is like another fulltime job. But you are not alone. Your mind tries to convince you that you are alone, but that is not true. There is help available. Therapies, medication, sports, meditation, hobbies, positive thinking and concentrating on here and now. Because, that is all that we have. And if now is not good, it doesn’t mean it is going to be like that forever. Life will show you.
